Jewelry Inspection & Repair

Fred Meyer Jewelers offers FREE jewelry cleaning and inspection while you wait, no appointment needed! Don't forget to have your jewelry inspected every year to update your Fine Jewelry Guarantee!

Every year you should take your jewelry to a professional jeweler to have it cleaned and inspected. This will help to ensure your jewelry retains its beauty by having each piece inspected as a whole as well as the individual settings to make sure they are secure.

Fred Meyer Jewelers also offers jewelry repair services including:

  • Watch repair
  • Ring sizing
  • Soldering chains, bracelets and anklets
  • Inspecting and repairing the prongs of your mountings to keep your stones securely in place
  • Restringing of pearl strands and bracelets

Inspections

Our Remote Inspection is available for customers who are no longer near a store, so they may complete an electronic yearly inspection to maintain their Jewelry Guarantee. To be eligible for a remote inspection you must not have a store within 100 miles of your home address.

Repairs

If you are no longer near a store and have a repair request, you are now able to place all repair requests and track their repair journey online. You will need your original transaction information ready to help locate any Lifetime Jewelry Care Plans if needed.

Unsure if you have a Lifetime Jewelry Care Plan?

Fred Meyer Jewelers offers a Jewelry Guarantee that is separate from the Lifetime Jewelry Care Plan.

The Jewelry Guarantee is a free service that includes the repair or replacement of any diamonds or gemstones** purchased from Fred Meyer Jewelers/Littman Jewelers in the event that they are chipped, broken, or lost (from the original mounting) for purchases up to $50,000.

**Emeralds, Opals and Pearls are excluded.

Inspections are required yearly to help us detect and fix worn prongs or loose stones. If you don’t keep up with these inspections, Jewelry Guarantee becomes void. Customers are responsible for maintaining their paperwork and inspection records.

The Lifetime Jewelry Care Plan is purchased at the same time as your jewelry and is noted on the receipt. It provides a lifetime* of care, services needed due to normal wear and tear (including parts and labor), as well as cleaning and routine maintenance. Repairs must be performed by one of our stores or by our Authorized Repair Department. Inspections aren’t required to maintain the Plan.
